Dear Mark and Mimi,

We have just returned from what we feel was a great cruise!

The Carnival Dream was really a "Dream"!

The ship is beautiful. There was more to do, although you still had the comfort of their smaller ships. The staff was great. They were very up beat and excited about the new ship. It felt to us that they had gotten the "best of the best" for this ship.

Mike and I had the spa rooms at the top of the ship. We didn't use the spa much so we weren't 100 percent if the extra price was worth it. Although we would probably pay the price again because the view was incredible and it was close to the Lido deck where we always hang out. Taylor liked it because it was steps away from the water slide. There was very little noise where we were.

The seas were rougher then we ever encountered but, like all of the ships, it was hardly noticeable. The day we docked in St. Thomas we were told by islanders that the waters were the roughest they had seen in their life time. They believed partially because of the blue moon and other  beliefs that I won't even get into! LOL

Either way, we swam at the beach and enjoyed the 85 degree weather while Kansas City was getting 20 below wind chill and snow.

We did the "your way" dining. It was a little different service then we were use to, but will do it again. We were able to get the same waitress all but one night and she was great. They did seem to rush you more then usual but we like setting our time and not theirs. We only had to wait for a table one night and the wait was about 2 minutes.

We ate during "prime time" every night. As big as the ship was, we never waited any longer to eat on the Lido deck then what we would have with any other ship.

The Lido deck had several specialty food areas that we liked. We never ate at the Speciality restaurant that required a $30 fee per person, but heard it was worth it.

The shows were top rate on the ship. We don't usually go to them but they were great! They even changed talent night the last night. One of the shows we were told will soon be rated as " best show" on all cruise ships.

Thank you for all of your help with the cruise. We would definitely recommend the "Dream". It was worth the small extra price!
